S.H.I.F.T. is committed to providing services that are offer a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, using the housing first approach, and focusing on a strengths-based approach.  We strive to deliver evidence-informed, culturally appropriate programming that employs consistent prevention and intervention approaches, including harm reduction strategy, trauma-informed care, and non-violent crisis intervention.

Outreach Program

​

Outreach Worker

We are currently seeking individuals to assist in the seamless functioning of our housing-focused outreach program that operates 7 days a week throughout the 5 municipalities that make up South Simcoe. The Outreach Worker will work one of two shifts encompassing a combination of early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

Daytime Drop-In & Emergency Overnight Shelter Program

​

Shelter Support Worker

We are currently seeking individuals to assist in the seamless functioning of our housing-related programming throughout the duration of the operating day. Shelter Support Workers will work both days and nights, on a rotating basis, including weekends. The position would work in our Daytime Drop-In Centre and Emergency Overnight Shelter program settings, in a supportive role to assist participants in feeling that they belong to and are engaged in the community.
