Daytime Drop-In Centre

About the Program

S.H.I.F.T.'s Daytime Drop-In Centre program is daytime café open to anyone experiencing homelessness, as a safe, warm place to access basic needs, harm reduction supplies, food, shower, internet, and housing-related supports during the daytime. 

Computer workstations are available for participant use for things like:

  • housing searches and virtual viewings

  • access to housing listings

  • employment searches and applications

  • checking emails and other methods of communication

  • printing forms/documents 

  • resume writing/printing

  • virtual meetings

  • virtual appointments

  • court services

  • school and/or work task

What You Can Expect

  • A safe, warm place to stay during the day.

  • No intake necessary, but basic contact information is collected for entry purposes. 

  • Coffee/tea/juice, snack and lunch available.

  • Staff onsite to provide supports and assist with housing-related activities, accessing community resources.

  • A passionate team of staff and volunteers helping to make you feel safe, supported and part of a community.
