Mobile Street & Community Outreach Program
About the Program
S.H.I.F.T’s Outreach Program is focused on preventing homelessness, serving those living with low income throughout South Simcoe. The program's goal is to connect individuals, couples, and families to urgently needed supplies, services, and supports as well as provide emergency assistance to those at risk of or experiencing homelessness and/or food insecurity (housed or otherwise).
The Outreach team is mobile, 7 days a week, throughout the 5 municipalities that make up the area known as South Simcoe (Innisfil, Essa, Adjala-Tosorontio, Bradford/West Gwillimbury and New Tecumseth). The team makes regular stops at established locations in each municipality several times weekly. The team will also make individuals appointments to meet up with participants at a location convenient for all.
Operations are based out of S.H.I.F.T. headquarters
at 123 Victoria St. W. in Alliston.

Part of the StreetReach Collective
This project has received funding support from Waypoint and the County of Simcoe.
We operate this program in partnership with the regional "StreetReach" collective, a consortium led by Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care alongside community partners including The Busby Centre, Lighthouse, Home Horizon and Youth Haven. This integrated approach ensures consistent, coordinated supports for individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the region.
